Latest Release Notes - April 29, 2025
Our end-of-the-year review Search & Rescues are live*.
- The 6th, 7th, and 8th grade versions align with North Carolina and NGSS standards, covering topics related to physical science concepts taught in those grade levels.
- The High School Physical Science and Chemistry Search & Rescues align with North Carolina, Missouri, and NGSS standards. Use these assignable, auto-graded review activities to add fun and engagement to your review.
To locate these, navigate to your course int the portal and select "End of Year Unit" from the dropdown menu.

New Comics Navigation for Teachers
You asked, we listened! Teachers can now access all Sci-Ops: Global Defense comics through the teacher portal. Click on the ‘Sci-Ops’ navigation on the left side of your portal and then select ‘Comics’ when the dropdown menu opens. This will activate the Comics Bank and allow the comics to be read.

Get Ready to Review*
Our end-of-the-year review Search & Rescues are live. Release Notes - March 19, 2025
Teacher Favorites System is Live!
You asked, and we listened. Our new teacher favorites system has launched. This system allows teachers to bookmark favorite lessons that can be viewed via the ‘Saved Lessons’ navigation in the left-hand toolbar. Teachers can filter search or unit results using the ‘Exclude Saved Lessons’ filter.

National STEM Week Activities
National STEM week runs from March 15-23. Plasma Games has created a series of STEM week lessons that can engage students in the history and science behind modern-day STEM. Access the lesson plan.

March Gladness is in Progress

New Resources Posted*
Middle school teachers, we have two new resources available. Live in the MS Force unit is the CER Report: Force, which can be used to process unit concepts for students. And new to the Electricity & Magnetism unit is the Mind Reader unit vocab review game.

Middle School Teachers: Help your students grasp the principles of gravity with a new activity located in the Force unit. This resource assists students in analyzing factors that affect Newton’s Law of Gravitation and understanding the relationship between gravity and weight.

Expanding Our Middle School Content Coverage
We are excited to announce our expansion into Middle School Earth Science content! Plasma Games’ new interactive, auto-graded Reading Passage is now live. In this activity, students will read short sections of content, listen to accompanying audio, and explore visual aids such as images, data tables, graphs, and infographics that enhance their learning. Students can review vocabulary definitions and demonstrate their understanding of the material through a series of comprehension and application questions. Additionally, the passage offers an optional exploration of related technology, careers, and real-world applications.



Middle School Search & Rescue: Waves Review Interactive Game is Live
Engage your students with this assignable, interactive, auto-graded escape room-style game to help your students review the concepts learned in the Middle School Waves unit. No two games are the same, making this a great option for assigning multiple attempts for better student practice. When finished, view standards-based reporting on student performance to support further remediation.

District Staff, Access Your New Portal
Attention district staff: Your new District Portal offers an overview of key district metrics, including the number of teachers, students, and classrooms per teacher using Plasma Games. It also displays the last training date for each teacher, your district's Plasma Games contact, and, if available, the district's invite code for teacher sign-ups.

New Flag For Interactive Lessons in the Teacher Portal
With the new Interactive flag in your teacher portal, you can easily identify interactive, auto-graded activities. Look for the green flag on the resource tiles to help you better identify these activities. Use the ‘Interactive’ filter for an even quicker search.

Teachers and Students Can Change Language to Spanish

The Spanish language toggle is now live on teacher and student portals. This allows teachers and students to see portal information displayed in either English or Spanish. You can change this by clicking on your profile and selecting the account settings page on both the teacher and student portals. On the account settings page, you will see a Language option where you can choose the language display you prefer.

Changing the language will impact all of the text seen on the teacher and student portal web pages, and will also change Sci-Ops to use Spanish:

Electricity & Magnetism Vocabulary slide deck is now live in the middle school Electricity & Magnetism unit. This slide deck includes a master list of unit vocab along with definitions for each term.

Sci-Ops Synopsis: Atomic Structure is now live in the Physical Science and Chemistry Atomic Structure units. This direct instruction resource models text annotation for students while covering the basic concepts of Atomic Structure. It includes a set of comprehension questions for student processing.
